18g Fishbone Cog (2)
What is an 18Gx100mm Fishbone Cog PDO Thread?
An 18G Fishbone Cog PDO thread is a type of absorbable polydioxanone suture used in thread lifts, a non-surgical aesthetic procedure for skin lifting and tightening. PDO cog threads have barbs that latch into the skin like small fish hooks to provide support and lift parts of the face. This is a pink cog thread. 18G is relatively thick, used for stronger lifting effects. The 100mm thread length is typically used for larger treatment areas or deeper placement under the skin.
How thread lifts work
A PDO thread lift is a procedure that uses dissolvable sutures to rejuvenate and lift sagging skin. Threads are medical sutures that have been used in surgery for many years. They are inserted into the SMAS layers to help shape facial contours and make the skin tighter. They proliferate collagen by stimulating fibroblast. This improves skin elasticity, reduces fine wrinkles and brightens the complexion. As the threads are absorbed by the body, they continue to promote collagen regeneration, offering a natural lifting effect. While the results aren’t as dramatic as facelift surgery, the procedure is quick, with minimal recovery time, making it a popular option for non-invasive facial rejuvenation.
